Whether it's metrosexual or novacasual, the male grooming industry seems to have felt a need to label men ever since the market started gathering momentum in the nineties. Maybe these monikers have been devised to make grooming more acceptable to men, or perhaps they are simply designed to grab headlines, but according to L'Oreal Men Expert, men of all types met around one key trend in 2013: La barbe de 3 jours the three-day beard. This was paired with the return of the working man's wardrobe in a look that "asserts a man's masculine side while expressing his virility and elegance". This mix of two looks, according to the brand, enables today's man to "play with the codes and create a half-artist, half-banker look that muddies the waters and allows him to find his own personality."
