Raising the barriers to dirt

In many interior applications, stain resistance and dry burnish resistance are desirable. Yet stains may penetrate the surface of even some "washable" paints and become almost impossible to remove. Some considerations in formulating paints to maximise stain resistance are discussed, with test results.
