A study on time trends in incidence of breast cancer - Indian scenario.

摘要

In India, cancer of the breast is the most common cancer among women in many regions and has overtaken cervix cancer, which was the frequent cancer a decade ago. It has been estimated that during the year 2001, nearly 80 000 women developed breast cancer in India (Murthy et al. 1990). In the present study, an attempt is made to analyse the time trends of breast cancer incidence in India by 5-year calendar period and age of women.
