New discovery aids generation of wildflowers

Wildflowers are quintessentially Brit ish, beautiful - and endangered. What's more they create the perfect habitat and valuable food source for bees, butterflies, other insects and birds. Achieving this idyllic and beneficial rural landscape has beennotoriously difficult from seed, with seed germination results less than 20%, according to colleagues who have attempted to produce a wildflower meadow on their land and information obtained from suppliers of wildflower seeds.
