OIG's checkoff audit

The recent Office of the Inspector General (OIG) report on the national beef checkoff was much anticipated - by everyone on both sides of the program. OIG found what everyone already knew - the program is operating according to both the law and USDA regulations, with no compliance issues. There was no evidence of the misuse of funds that checkoff opponents have insinuated for years.
