The effect of different fertilizing systems on the chemical parameters of dark gray and light gray forest soils, nutrient balance, and crop rotation productivity has been studied in long-term stationary experiments at the Irkutsk Research Institute of Agriculture (INIISKh). The fertilizers affected the soil acidity and total exchangeable bases only slightly. The humus and total nitrogen pools were increased by organic fertilizers and stabilized under the action of mineral fertilizers. Fertilization of the optimal rates increased the crop yield by 25-40 percent.
