A fundamental treatise-Encyclopedia of Soil Science edited by Rattan Lal-was published in 2002 by the Marcel Dekker publishing house. This is the first time in history that such a voluminous user-oriented reference book on soil science has been published. This encyclopedia onsists of 350 articles, 4-5 pages each, totaling 1476 pages, and can be found on the Internet.
