The last 12 months have proved to be a very rewarding period for global vegetable seeds specialist Nunhems, having scooped the Innovation Award at last year's Fruit Logistica and the Buyer's Choice Award from the PMA Foodservice Convention. Accordingto Paco Gonzalez, Nunhems' global head of marketing and sales, the awards amounted to clear signals from within the market that the company is on the right track. Nunhems, says Mr Gonzalez, has further defined its fresh-sliced concept with Intense, which has been designed as a ready-to-use tomato for salads, sandwiches, hamburgers and pizzas. He says the variety was a clear step forward in terms of convenience, for food service providers and the consumer.
