Ines Pelaez, manager of the Argentinean Blueberry Committee, talks to Eurofruit Magazine about the steps the organisation has taken since its creation in 2008 to build a future for Argentinean blueberries on the international market.In what ways doesthe Argentinean Blueberry Committee differ from the Chamber of Argentinean Blueberry and other Berry Producers (Capab)? IP: The Committee is an association of exporters, while Capab represents the producers. With that in mind, we (the Committee) are encouraging all the players within the Argentinean blueberry industry to work together on common interests through a more coordinated effort. We are the equivalent of the Chilean Blueberry Committee in Chile or the actions undertaken by Upefruy to support the Uruguayan blueberry sector.
