This is the Mini Paceman concept, which will make its public debut at the Detroit motor show on 10 January - the 10th anniversary of the brand's relaunch in the United States. Substantially based on the five-door Mini Countryman, the Paceman concept is designed as an up market, compact coupe and is said to be strongly placed to go into production in 2012, although the final green light has not yet been given. BMW is calling the Paceman (so named because it follows on from the Clubman and Countryman) the first 'Sports Activity Coupe' in the small car segment.
