Influence of farmyard manure on nickel concentration of fenugreek (Trigonella corniculata L.) in nickel treated soils

A greenhouse study was conducted to investigate the ameliorative effect of farmyard manure (FYM) on Ni concentration of fenugreek tops and roots. It was observed that FYM reduced the Ni concentration of the tops and roots at all rates of Ni application probably due to the formation highly stale complexes between Ni and organic manure soil. These effects were prominent at 50 mg Ni/kg soil level only.
