Majority of the radio and television owning fanners belonged to middle age group (62.5%) with medium education level (75.83%) and 89.16% of the respondents bad big family size and 93.33% had large holding. They possessed medium agricultural implement (62.50%), farm power and other materials. They earn moderate annual income (45.0%). Social participation of the respondents was found to the extent of 75%. Medium to high-level participation was found in communication characteristics namely mass media usage (85.0%), extension contact (60.83%), extension participation (59.17%) and perceived media credibility (77.50%). With respect to psychological characteristics all the farmers belonged to medium category of scientific orientation, 64.16 and 74.17% of the farmers belonged to economic motivation and innovativeness respectively and they had favorable attitude towards media. Occasionally with partial attention, they devoted half of the duration to make notes in listening and viewing of farm programs.
