摘要

An experiment was conducted in Chhattisgarh, India, during the 2004 kharif and 2004/05 rabi seasons to study the effect of K fertilizer (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg K/ha) on K uptake and yield of rice (cv. Mahamaya) and wheat (cv. Sujata). In rice, 100 kg K/ha gave the highest straw yield (63.61 q/ha) and mean K content in the grain (0.77%) while 200 kg K/ha gave the highest grain yield (67.30 q/ha), mean K content in the grain (0.77%) and straw (3.34%) and total mean K uptake (258.24 kg/ha). In wheat, 100 kg K/ha gave the highest straw yield (34.55 q/ha) while 150 kg K/ha gave the highest mean K content in the grain (0.69%) and 200 kg K/ha gave the highest grain yield (26.46 q/ha), total mean K uptake (99.70 kg/ha) and mean K content in the straw (2.41%).
