A field experiment was conducted during rabi season, 2004-2005 to study the Influence of inorganic fertilizers in combination with organic manures (FYM and vermicompost) and biofertilizer (Azotobacter) on yield and yield attributes of palak cv Pusa Bharati. The results indicated that the green yield of palak cv Pusa Bharati was favorably influenced with the use of organic manures coupled with inorganic fertilizers. Application of vermicompost (5 t/ha) + 50% recommended dose of N and full dose of P sub(2)O sub(5) and K sub(2)O + Azotobacter (T sub(8)) gave the maximum values for green yield (337.5 q/ha) and yield attributing characters like leaf length, leaf breadth, leaves number/plant and harvest index. This treatment (T sub(8)) also recorded the highest net return and benefit cost ratio.
