Laboratory experiments were conducted to evaluate the toxicity of malathion, acephate, methomyl, deltamethrin and NI-25 [acetamiprid] against the adult of rice weevil Sitophilus oryzae. NI-25 exhibited an LC50 value of 0.000804%. The decreasing order of relative toxicity of tested insecticides were deltamethrin (3.20) > acephate (2.02) > malathion (1.22) > methomyl (1.11) > NI-25 (1.00).
