摘要

The experiment was done to assess the effects of different concentrations i.e. lethal concentration (LC5). lethal concentration (LC5u). lethal concentration (LC, ) of Tobacco Leaf Dust (TLD) with quicklime (QL) on physico-chemical parameters of water.The dried leaves of tobacco (Nicotiana tobaccwn) were purchased from the local market. The leaves were oven-dried at a constant temperature of 60"C for 4 hours using a hot air oven. It was powdered with the aid of an electric grinder and stored in dry airtight container for experimental use. Quick lime or burnt lime was used as liming material for this study. Impacts of TLD alone and TLD with quicklime on different physico-chemical parameters like temperature, pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen oftest water were recorded after every I h of interval. It was observed that the pH and conductivity of water increased but DO of water decreased after the application of TLD alone whereas the application of TLD with QL. the pH and conductivity of water increased without affecting DO concentration.
