摘要

Famiere field school is a non-formal, learner centered educational process, which focuses on capacity building activities among farmers. A sample of 120 respondents consisting of 60 participants and 60 non-participants in the FFS from Doddaballapur Taluk of Bangalore Rural district was selected using purposive random sampling method. Data were collected using structured interview schedule through personal interview method. Ex-post facto research design was employed for the study. The results indicated that there exists a significant difference between mean knowledge and adoption scores of participant and non-participant farmers towards cultivation practices of maize, finger millet and aerobic rice. It is also evident from the findings that there exists a significant relationship of knowledge and adoption with personal and socio-economic characteristics of participant and non-participant farmers of FFSs on recommended cultivation practices of maize, finger millet and aerobic rice.
