Water Quality of Spratly Islands' Ban Than Reef Measured for the First Time

During 2010 the EPA sent an environmental quality sample collection team to Taiping Island, one of the Nansha Islands, to conduct water and air quality monitoring. As the weather conditions were favorable at the time, the team was also able to sail up to Ban Than Reef to conduct water quality monitoring. Analysis of the samples has recently been completed and the data shows that both water and air quality in the vicinity of the reef are good.
