Optimizing Hydraulic Descaler Performance Through Improved Monitoring and Maintenance

摘要

A methodology to monitor, maintain and improve the descaling practices at the Tata Steel Direct Sheet Plant has been designed and developed. The results of laboratory-scale and in-line testing have allowed a descaling process window and maintenance plan to be developed. Insight will be given with respect to the influence of descaling process parameters.
