摘要

YnbO4: Bi phosphor screens deposited by theelectrophoretic deposition method have been examined usinglaser Raman spectroscopy. Evidence was found that screens,which manifested poor performance under cathodoluminescencetesting, were contaminated with Fe3+ ions. The presence of Fe3+ions could only have originated in the stainless steel anode. Thiswork demonstrates the danger of using anodes capable of poisoning the phosphor.
