Bath engineering design centre in fluid power systems

The Engineering Design Centre in Fluid Power Systems was established in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Bath in August 1992 to develop computer based techniques and tools to improve the design of fluid power systems. In 1996 funding was granted from the UK's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for a further four years. This article reviews the work undertaken in the EDC over this period and updates the previous article published in Engineering Designer in July/August 1997.
