CHINA: Subsidies offset impact of fuel price hike as energy demand continue to grow at high pace

China's government has offered to provide RMB19.8 billion in subsidies to help key sectors cope with sharply higher fuel prices. (US1=RMB6.8). An unintended consequence of these subsidies will be to keep the country's runaway energy demand growth stay high.
