Most of the amino acid requirement studies in laying hens have been done for methionine, cystine and lysine. However, depending on the diet composition, threonine, tryptophan and isoleucine can be the third limiting amino acid. Amino acids (AA) are key nutrients in relation to production performance in laying hens.
