A group of experts reviewed the state of the art of SIT-AWPM applied to fruit flies of major international economic significance.Invasive species that are potential candidates to achieve international distribution were also examined.The rapid spread of several prominent fruit fly species was considered,along with the increased costs for quarantine treatments required for international trade.
