Sportsmen and women from all over the world are meeting in the Greek capital of Athens to compete at the highest level and hopefully break a few records, By the time they arrive for August's Olympic Games and September's Paralympic Games, however, Greece will already have broken a record of its own. The country is spending EUR1bn on security - three times Sydney (Australia)'s 2000 budget, Athens 2004 president Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki has said: "Our preparations are rooted in the simple fact of life today; we all live in a more dangerous world than we did a few years ago.
