The Second Dawn of MSS

The Iridium project, which signalled the dawn of Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) for handheld devices when it was launched two years ago, has been causing considerable trouble to the satellite industry. In fact, when the project went bankrupt in 1999, it was as if the whole satellite industry was suddenly the topic of discussion in the telecommunications world at large.
