摘要

Biodegradation is an attractive method for clean up the most of pollution parameters from aqueous solution. Sequencing batch bioreactors treatment was tried for biodegradation of COD from textile waste water using Phanerochaete chrysosporium. The aimof this research work is assessment of biodegradation capability of COD from textile waste water under different initial concentration of COD and time. The pH and temperature play a key role in the biodegradation of COD from waste water therefore all experiment were operated at pH 7 and temperature 35°C. As the result showed the average removed COD concentration increased with higher initial concentration of COD but the biodegradation capacity (%) decreased as the concentration of initial COD increased. It is concluded that the sequencing batch reactors along with Phanerochaete chrysosporium were found to be efficient in reducing COD from the textile effluent.
