摘要

The genetic algorithm (GA), is widely used in different branch of sciences. The application of a number of these methods has been reported in the case of optimal operation of reservoirs. The aim of this paper is presenting programs for the optimal release of water from consecutive multi-purpose reservoir dams with non polar parameters of inflow and water in demand. In this study, the genetic algorithm technique has been used for optimizing reservoir dams in the Aras River Basin in northwestern Iran.The objective function is minimizing the water shortages necessary in required regions and minimizing the water-electrical energy production shortage at the power stations in reservoir dams. In the present article three scenarios of moderate time terms data are entered in the model and the findings are analyzed. The selected scenarios are called S_(11) S_(12) S_(13) which have been applied for Aras and Khodaafarin reservoir dams, Iran. The dam precept curves have been derived by the genetic algorithm method (GA) and probable shortage rate for each period has been specified.
