Editors' introduction

摘要

The year 2006 is the 20th year of Economic Policy's publication.To mark the anniversary we organized a special 20th Anniversary Panel in London,kindly hosted by the Bank of England in October 2005,and asked four prominent researchers who have witnessed 20 years of policy-oriented economic research to review for our readers the role of theory and evidence in shaping policy-making during the period.
