Petrofac (St Helier, Jersey) has suspended its chief operating ofcer Marwan Chedid as it grapples with a fraud investigation into the company. The UK's Serious Fraud Ofce (SFO) arrested Chedid and Petrofac's chief executive Ayman Asfari earlier this month as part of its investigation into the Unaoil bribery afair. They were released without charge. Chairman Rijnhard van Tets said, "These decisions signal the board's determination to cooperate fully with the SFO and its investigation, whilst ensuring Petrofac continues to deliver for its clients."
