Total is looking to boost its position in liquefied natural gas(LNG)with the construction of a regasification terminal on the Croatian coast.Total,which has formed a new company,Adria LNG,to study the prospects for a terminal in the region,said it would be located on the Croatian island of Krk in the northern Adriatic.The new terminal would have an initial capacity of some 353 Bcf/yr(10 Bcm/yr)which would be increased to 530 Bcf/yr(15 Bcm/yr).It will be designed for LNG tankers carrying up to 9.35 MMcf(265 Mcm).
