Chevron's Aussie rig extension

US operator Chevron is taking on the Songa Mercur semisub rig for a one-year contract offshore Australia after awarding it a 90-day extension.Rig owner Songa Offshore said two options of six months each remain at market rate. The expected revenue for the 90-day extension is US 27m at a dayrate of 300,000.
