Talisman hits Peru oil

Peru's President Alan Garcia says Canada's Talisman Energy has discovered light crude in northern Peru. The light crude was found in the Maranon Basin close to the border with Ecuador, said Garcia. It will be suitable for mixing with heavy crude to be able to transport it via pipeline, he said. Talisman has not commented on the situation.
