Oilex will drill the first of two wells targeting total mean prospective oil resources of 285m bbl in Block JPDA 06-103 in the Timor Sea by the end of November. The Australian operator will use the Songa Mercur semisubmersible drilling rig to spud the Lore and Lolotoe prospects, which have estimated resources of 195m bbl and 90m bbl respectively. Both prospects lie in water depths of less than 1,312ft (400m).
