In 2010, Apollo Education derided to trial Insulated Concrete Form technology (ICF) from Nudura to help deliver a major project at the London school sustainably, to a high quality and on time. In June 2011, independent air testing to one of two newly built school blocks atWoodside High SchooLin Wood Green, London, proved that the building had surpassed all expectations on air permeability. Testing of Block W achieved an exceptional 2.18m3/hr. Currently, Building Regulations require less than 10.0m3/hr, making the structure almost five times more efficient than the UK standard. Apollo Education set out to achieve a rating of 5.0 m3/hrthrough well designed detailing and QA on their first Nudura constructed building. John Hill, their project manager, says that he has achieved the best result ever.
