Writing this page this month is a little difficult as it had to be done within three days of my Inauguration and there was, therefore, not a lot to report on. I am, therefore, going to say something about what has happened so far in my year and something about what I already know I will be doing over the next month or so. My year as President actually started some eight hours before the Inauguration as I had been asked to represent the Association at a business lunch being hosted by the MP for Northampton North, Sally Keeble. The purpose of the lunch was to meet with Chris Brown, Regional Agent for the Bank of England, and have an exchange of views. The others present were involved in managing local businesses of varying sizes, senior personnel from local health and government authorities and a representative from a large accountancy firm.
