U.K. abolishes WEEE advisory body

The U.K. government's organization tasked with WEEE Directive oversight has become the latest victim of austerity cuts across Europe. The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Advisory Board (WAB) will be disbanded over the next year as part of the government's goal of reducing the number and cost of semi-autonomous non-government bodies by one-third.
