June's weather was a bit like the economy and politics - very variable, highs and lows, swinging from one extreme to the other. I hope your month was more settled and the horizon is looking brighter. Early in June I was invited to take part in the 22nd annual exhibition of the Northern Region in Gateshead and to present the Gold Laurel Award to Gateshead Councilin recognition of the conversion of a local landmark church (of late, an auction room) to form their new Heritage Centre known as Gateshead Heritage @ St Mary's.
