摘要

Coke-ore nixed charging (COMC) can greatly improve the permeability of the softening-melting (SM) or cohesive layer and enhance the reduction of Fe, Si, Mn, Ti, and V within it. For the optimal procedure of COMC not all of the coke should participate in mixing with the iron ore, only a portion of it. The effect of mixed charging would be superior with smaller sizes of coke and ore. The reduction process is controlled by internal diffusion below the softening temperature (900-1000 deg C) and by both internal diffusion and interface chemical reaction in the SM layer in the range 1000-1300 deg C.
