摘要

The effect of various electromagnetic stirring (EMS) modes on reducing macrosegregation has been investigated by conducting plant trials on a continuous bloom caster. A new combined mould and final EMS mode combination was investigated using 60Si2CrVAT high strength spring steel. The centre carbon segregation was significantly reduced.
