Solar thermal technology is the most efficient and accessible form of renewable energy available, and is capable of providing: 60-70 percent of the average dwelling's hot water requirements annually. This could save in excess of 600kg of CO_2 when using natural gas - a figure which could be significantly higher when other types of fossil fuel are used as a primary energy source.
