Polish PKN Orlen’s Lithuanian refinery, the sole plant in the Baltics, made a net loss of $28.2 million in the first quarter of 2010 because of low refining margins, the euro’s decline against the dollar and a maintenance shutdown in March. It lost money even though revenues rose by 26% year-on-year to $1.07 billion.
