InterOil Sees PNG Interest

A number of local and international oil companies and utilities are interested in buying into InterOil's planned LNG project in Papua New Guinea (PNG), Chief Executive Phil Mulacek says. Most want an upstream stake in the Liquid Niugini project, he tells International Oil Daily. The South China Morning Post says China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) and PetroChina are both poised to invest.
