US Environmental Agency Delays Ruling on Increased Ethanol Use

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has said it needs several more months to decide whether to allow gasoline to contain up to 15% ethanol. Current rules limit ethanol content to 10%. The EPA said it would delay until mid- 2010 its final response to a request submitted in March by ethanol industry advocacy group Growth Energy to allow the blending and sale of gasoline containing 15% ethanol - known as E15.
