Romanian oil and gas company Petrom has bought its first wind farm, Romanian wind developer SC Wind Park, owner of a planned wind farm development in south- eastern Romania. Petrom said Thursday that it would spend up to ?100 million ($136 million) buying the company and building the 45 MW wind farm. The project, which could be expanded to 54 MW, may be opera- tional by mid-2011 if construction starts lat- er this year, as planned.
