摘要

A novel one-dimensional vanadium(V)-organic coordination polymer [{VO2(2,2'-bipy)}(2)(tp)](infinity) (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized from the reaction Of V2O5, 2,2'-bipyridine, and terephthalate. It has been characterized by IR, XPS, TGA and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Its structure is constructed from dimers of edge-sharing vanadium(V) octahedra with covalently bonded 2,2'-bipy ligands, linked through bicarboxylate tp ligands into an infinite zigzag chain. Extensive hydrogen-bond contacts and strong pi-pi interactions lead to a layered framework of the solid of 1. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. [References: 23]
