The UAE's Dana Gas said Tuesday that Executive Director Ahmed al-Arbeed has been named chief executive, and General Manager Rashid Saif al-Jarwan will take al-Arbeed's old job. Both appointments were unanimously approved by the Dana board. Al-Arbeed - who had previously been chairman and managing director of Kuwait Oil Co., as well as Kufpec, its foreign investment arm - is Dana's first chief executive. Dana said the appointment is in line with UAE Securities and Commodities Authority rules that call for the roles of chairman and chief executive to be separated.
