Innovation: Pharmaceutical analysis

During my early career, I was privileged to help introduce two revolutionry technologies that dramatically improved analytical research and developemen and quality analysis. I served as President and CEO of Waters Associates (now Waters Corp [Milford, MA, USA]) from 1971 to 1980. At Waters, we pio-neered applications-based marketing for HPLC and developed many of the underlying product technologies still in use. HPLC today remains one of the primary analytical techniques.
