An express semi-quantitative spot test for determinationof beryllium contents in industrial netural and action is based on the itneraction between beryllium and Beryllon II dye in alkalien medium.Optimum reaction conditiosn have been established with a view to prepare a contrast colour scale in the range of 0-1.2mu g Be in a total volume of 0.5 ml.thecolour scale is dveloped within 2-3 min and is 0.1 mug Be in 0.5 ml),selective (after masking with EDTA),easy for operation and of low cost.It is applied to direct semiquantitative determination of Be in industrial solutions.
