摘要

Combustion synthesis is used to produce the ceramic-lined composite steel pipes on an industrial scale in China to work out a solution for the problem of unmatched thermal coefficients between the steel and the ceramic layer. This paper introduces the properties of the composite pipes concerning the composition and structure of the ceramic layer, their resistance to abrasion, corrosion, thermal and mechanical shocks, their weldability, processability, and drag coefficient on water. The ceramic-lined composite steel pipes are very suitable for the transport of abrasive materials and have been successfully applied to industries such as mining, thermal power, and metallurgical industry, etc.
